Give Yourself Grace for the Season You're In

by sunDAE's Boutique 18 Sep 2026

Give yourself grace while you’re becoming. What that means to me is understanding that this is everyone’s first time doing life. And if you’re doing it with God, sometimes it may not look like what you expected. But that’s okay.

God says that He is the author and finisher of our story. He knows exactly where we are and exactly where we’re going. And when you’re following His path, His Word tells us that the steps of a good man are ordered by Him. So as you’re becoming, and allowing Him to prune you and grow you into the version of yourself that He has called you to be, give yourself grace. Give yourself grace to know that you don’t have to be perfect. You will not get it right all of the time.

Sometimes you will wake up and wonder, What am I even doing? But even in those moments, trust that God’s plans for you are what’s best, even when it may not look like it. When I look over my life and see where I am today, I realize that it was all a part of God’s purpose. Every mistake. Every no. Every yes. Every opportunity. Every delay. Every setback. Every failure. Every emotion. Every moment.

It was all a part of God’s plan for me.

My journey may not look like yours, and I don’t know what it takes to be you. But I do know that God’s grace is sufficient for us all. Even in our weaknesses, His strength is made strong, and we are made whole in Him who lives within us. God’s grace has carried me throughout my entire life. And as long as I am in His will, I trust that it will all work out for the good of those who love Him.

And I love Him. And He loves me. Thank You, God, for Your goodness, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your love.

Scripture References

Hebrews 12:2 — “the author and finisher of our faith”

Psalm 37:23 — “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD”

2 Corinthians 12:9 — “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness”

Romans 8:28 — “all things work together for good to them that love God”

Note: Scripture references are included to support the biblical ideas expressed in the entry; the Diary wording remains Sade’ Amari’s personal reflection.

Reminder:

“Before God gave you the vision, He already factored in who you are, where you are, and what you have. And He still called you to do it.”

Reflection

What vision has God given you that feels bigger than you? What has been holding you back from moving forward with it? Take a moment to write down the ways God has provided for you in the past. How can His faithfulness then remind you to trust Him now? This week: Take one step toward the vision God gave you, even if you don't have the entire plan figured out yet.
